WCHA Rube Challenge Rules

SEASON
Regular Season
• First Half: October (see set lineup page)
• Holiday Break.
• Second Half: (see set lineup page)
o Rosters must be in by 11:59pm CST on Thursdays. If there is a game mid week you must submit your roster prior to the start of that game.


ROSTERS
Forwards
• Each “Coach” selects 4 Forwards from WCHA teams.
o 1 Forward must be a Freshman
o 1 Forward must be a Sophomore
o 1 Forward must be a Junior
o 1 Forward must be a Senior
o NONE of the 4 Forwards can be from the same team. If you have a player that plays F/D he may only be used in one position NOT both.
Defensemen
• Each “Coach” selects 2 Defensemen from WCHA teams.
o NEITHER of the D can be from the same team.
Goalies
• Each “Coach” selects a team Goalie from WCHA teams.

POINTS
Points are accumulated per game. The “Coach” who has the most points at the end of the year owns the bragging rights to the
WCHA Hockey Challenge for the entire off-season. The Commish will update all the scoring on Sunday/Monday and weekly results
and standings will be posted on this site. Here is the scoring scale:

Forward/Defense
• Even Strength Goal = 2 points.
• Even Strength Assist = 1 point.
• Power Play Goal = 3 points.
• Power Play Assist = 2 points.
• Shorthanded Goal = 4 points.
• Shorthanded Assist = 3 points.

Goalies
• 1 point for every 10 saves per game.
o For example, 38 saves = 3 points, 42 saves = 4points.
• 0 goals per game = 5 points.
• 1 goals per game = 4 points.
• 2 goals per game = 3 points.
• 3 goals per game = 2 points.
• 4 goals per game = 1 points.
• 5 goals per game = 0 points.
• 6 goals per game = -1 points.
• 7+ goals per game= -3 points.

PLAYER SELECTION
Each “Coach” should email their roster for the week to the following web site address:
• www.collegepuck.com and select your rosters
• Lineups are due by 11:59PM CST each Thursday!
• All available players are listed in the dropdown boxes of the roster select screen.

SOME FINE PRINT
• Coaches can re-use the same players from week to week, meaning you could possibly use the same team for the entire season.
• If one of your selections gets injured or kicked out, you are stuck with that player in your lineup for the rest of the weekend.
• There are no default lineups. If you do not get your picks in prior to 11:59PM on Thursday, your will score zero for the week.
• Each “Coach” needs to submit a roster by October 17th to compete in the regular season.
• If you choose 2 players from the same team you will not receive any points from those players for the weekend
o Lineups need to be submitted online at collegepuck.com BY 11:59PM EACH THURSDAY! miss 3 weeks and you are done for the year.
